SAVIEL Family , Baptism/Marriages/Burials, Bengal/Madras/Bombay, 1801-40.

Here are some of the records that I have Found on the SAVIEL family in India.

  1. IOR/N/1/7/111. Francis X Sabel, Bachelor & Brigida X D'Rozario, Spinster, both of Calcutta Fort William in Bengal , married in Calcutta, on the 10th of October 1805, Wit: G. de Souza, John Murphy, John X Gomez.

  2. IOR/N/1/8/425. Thomas Saviel , Bachelor & Charlotte Gomis, Spinster , both of Calcutta Fort William in Bengal were married at Calcutta on the 23rd of November 1811. Wit: G. Gill, Huhn.

  3. IOR/N/2/6/304. Born 5th of November 1816 at Quilon. James son of James Saveall, H.M. 80th Regiment.

  4. IOR/N/1/17/45. Supposed born in the year 1809, bapt. on the 15th of December 1827 at Barrackpore, John son of George Savail, Seaman & Mary his wife.

  5. IOR/N/2/13/67. Married by Banns at Secunderabad, 17th of April 1832, Benjamin Peter Saviel, 1st Dressser H.M.N.I., Bachelor & Mary Wilkinson , of Bolarannor, Spinster, Wit: Samuel Chapman, Arthur O'Leary.

  6. IOR/N/2/16/354. Bap. 13th of February 1835 at Muktul according to Rubric of Church of England, Anna (surname Joseph) an orphan female child ( parents unknown ), adopted by Benjamin Peter Saviel of the Subordinate Medical Branch of the Nizam's service about 4 years of age (date of birth unknown ) , Sponsors : Mary Saviel, Mary Anne Saviel, John Edward Saviel.

  7. IOR/N/2/13/355. Bapt. 13th of February 1835 at Muktul according to Rubric of Church of England, William Peter son of John Edward Saviel of the Subordinate Medical Branch of His Highness the Nizam's service 7 Mary Ann his wife, Born 4th of January 1834. Sponsors: Adela Goosetree, Clementina Goosetree, Samuel Chapman.

  8. IOR/N/2/19/44. Born on the 27th of June ,Bapt. on the 12th of December 1838 at Ellichpore according to the Rubric of the Church of England, Benjamin son of John Edward Saviel of the Subordinate Medical Branch of the Nizam's Service & Mary Anne his wife, Sponsors: William Crome, Susan Crome, Richard Tuson.
